Founder, OKION Partners
Standing between leadership and the front line,
turning DX and AI into work that gets done.
I spent 18 years at Google, where I led advertising sales, launched the Chromebook business in Japan, and drove Android partnerships with mobile carriers. Before that, I worked on service development at NTT DOCOMO and was a supply chain manager at Nintendo.
Today I work with companies in Japan, sitting between leadership and the front line to move DX and AI forward.

WHY
Why I started
this business
The ability to solve business problems —
and to put technology to work.
For many years, my job has been to work with business partners on their business and management challenges, and to propose solutions. Identifying the real problem and shaping a plan that fits each partner's business — that is the skill I have honed most.
At the same time, at Google I turned cutting-edge technology into results in real business settings. Not just knowing the technology, but knowing how to make it create value inside a business — I learned that through practice.
Solving management problems, and putting technology to work in a business. I'm confident I can bring these two strengths to the growth of companies in Japan.
That is why I founded OKION Partners.
I was born and raised in Kyoto. My family ran a shop called Nishi Shoten, working in shibori — tie-dyeing for kimono, one of Japan's traditional crafts.
Growing up, the word I heard most often in the shop was ookini — Kyoto's way of saying “thank you.” To me, it has always been a word full of warmth.
The name OKION Partners comes from that word. So many people have helped me throughout my career. I want my work to turn that kindness into value for others.
